  • Cerbo GX / Ekrano GX when used with a BYO-SIM 4G LTE modem or router

  • Standard 4G LTE routers (e.g. Teltonika / Netgear) connected to Victron systems

  ✖ Not compatible with:

  • Victron GlobalLink 520 (LTE-M only)

  • Any LTE-M (Cat-M1) or NB-IoT specific hardware

  If your device specification mentions LTE-M / Cat-M1, this SIM will not work.

• What is a Victron Energy SIM Card?

  A Victron Energy SIM Card is a data-only SIM designed for remote monitoring and management of Victron systems via the VRM Portal and Remote Console.

•  Will this work with Victron GlobalLink 520?

  No. The GlobalLink 520 requires an LTE-M (Cat-M1) SIM. This product supports standard 4G LTE only.

• Will this work with Cerbo GX?

  Yes, when Cerbo GX is used with a standard 4G LTE modem or router that accepts a BYO SIM. Cerbo GX itself is not a cellular modem.

• How do I set it up?

  Insert the SIM into your 4G LTE modem, then set:

  • APN: mobile

  • Username / Password: leave blank
    Reboot the modem if required.

• Does this SIM support calls or SMS?

  No. This is a data-only SIM, optimised for IoT and monitoring use.

• Can I extend my data plan later?

  Yes. Plans are extendable without replacing the SIM card.

• Is this SIM suitable for general internet or video streaming?

  No. This SIM is intended for Victron monitoring and remote access, not for Wi-Fi hotspots, CCTV, or high-bandwidth applications.
