4G Walkie Talkie SIM Card Australia | PoC & Cellular PTT
Is your radio the right type?
This SIM is for compatible 4G PoC walkie talkies and cellular push-to-talk two-way radios — devices that connect through the mobile network and accept a physical SIM card. It will not work with UHF, CB, licence-free or DMR-only radios, which transmit directly radio-to-radio and have no SIM slot.
Pay once for 1, 5 or 8 years of PoC radio data
Connectivity for 4G walkie talkies is often sold as a monthly or annually renewed service.
This SIM is one payment, for up to 8 years. No monthly bills and no automatic renewal. Your data allowance refreshes every month for the full term.
Works in unlocked 4G PoC radios that accept a third-party data SIM — on multi-network Optus + Telstra access, with Telstra rural fallback where it matters.
Before you buy: two quick checks
1. Can your radio take this SIM?
- ✔ Physical SIM slot (not eSIM-only)
- ✔ Unlocked — accepts a third-party SIM, with no supplier SIM or private APN required
- ✔ Supports Australian 4G LTE bands
- ✔ APN can be set to
mobile - ✔ Runs on data only — no SMS activation, voice calling or phone-number verification required
2. Is your push-to-talk service in place?
The SIM is the data connection. The push-to-talk service itself comes from your radio's PoC platform account — set up through your radio supplier. Your platform account must be active, with access to your channel or talk group.
✔ Radio passes both checks? Select your data allowance and term above.
Not sure? Read the compatibility guide or email us before ordering.
Known fit: the 4G walkie talkies supplied in our radio packs.
Choosing a data allowance
| Allowance | Suited to |
|---|---|
| 100 MB | Very light or occasional voice use |
| 200 MB | Light use with moderate standby and channel activity |
| 500 MB | Regular operational voice use, with headroom |
| 1 GB | Higher-use voice operations. Not intended for video or unrestricted multimedia. |
Usage depends on your platform's settings and how much channel audio your radio receives as well as sends. When the allowance is reached, the connection stops until it resets — so size for your busiest month. Estimate your usage →

FAQ
Will this SIM work with my radio?
If your radio meets all five checks above — physical SIM slot, unlocked, Australian LTE bands, configurable APN, and data-only operation — this SIM is designed to work as its mobile data connection. If your model isn't sold by us and you're unsure, email us before ordering.
Does each radio need its own SIM?
Yes. One SIM per radio. Adjust the quantity at checkout for a team.
Does the SIM include a PoC platform account?
No. The SIM is the data connection. The push-to-talk service comes from your radio's PoC platform, set up through your radio supplier.
When does the service term begin?
The service term begins when Lemon Mobile activates the SIM before dispatch, so it arrives ready to use — just insert it and connect. It does not begin from the first day you use the radio. The data allowance refreshes monthly for the full 1, 5 or 8 year term.
What happens when the data allowance is reached?
The connection stops until the allowance resets. There is no automatic top-up, so choose headroom for your busiest month.
Are there monthly fees?
No. One payment covers the full term you select — no monthly payments and no automatic renewal.
